If you’re planning to visit Machu Picchu Inca City, That’s awesome! It’s definitely one of those bucket-list places you’ll remember forever. But, like with any trip
There are a few things you should know before you visit Machu Picchu
First!!!! book your tickets early. Seriously, don’t wait until the last minute. They limit how many people can enter Machu Picchu per day, so if you show up without a ticket, there’s a good chance you’ll be out of luck. Just head online and grab those tickets as soon as you can. Same goes for the train or bus rides if you’re planning to take those.
Machu Picchu Visit by Train
Machu Picchu by train from Cusco is probably the easiest way to go. It’s pretty chill and the views are amazing. You’ll ride through the Sacred Valley, with mountains and rivers all around. But if you’re feeling adventurous, you could always hike the Inca Trail. That’ll take you a few days, though, so make sure you’re up for it!
Now, about the weather – Machu Picchu has its own thing going on. It can be sunny one second and raining the next. So, pack layers! A rain jacket is a must, even if it looks like it s gonna be sunny when you leave. And don’t forget comfy shoes. You ll be walking and climbing a lot, and trust me, you don’t want to do that in flip-flops.
One thing people sometimes forget is that you’re up in the mountains, and the altitude can mess with you if you’re not used to it. Drink lots of water and take it easy, especially your first day or two in Cusco. It’s better to chill and adjust to the altitude than to push yourself too hard and end up feeling sick.
Also, dont forget your passport. You need it to enter Machu Picchu, plus you can get a special stamp in your passport when you’re there. It’s a cool little souvenir, so make sure to bring it along.
Lastly, just enjoy the moment. It’s easy to get caught up in taking pictures and trying to capture everything, but don’t forget to just stop and take it all in. Machu Picchu is more than just a picture for Instagram – it’s a place full of history and wonder. You’ll want to remember how it felt to be there, not just what it looked like.
That’s pretty much it. Keep these tips in mind, and you’re gonna have an amazing time at Machu Picchu!
